Feast East 2010 is the Eastern Region’s only regional food festival supporting the local food and drink of our six counties (Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambs., Beds. and Herts.) and the forthcoming Festival in early March will be the 16th annual event of its kind.
Taking place from Thursday 4 to Saturday 6 March 2010, Feast East will be held at Chilford Hall, near Linton in south-east Cambridgeshire, close to the borders with Essex and Suffolk.
The key messages of the Festival are to celebrate the finest of the region’s ingredients and products as well as the culinary talents of our best chefs.
The founder and co-ordinator of Feast East, Tastes of Anglia is the regional food marketing group which serves as the authoritative voice of local food and drink for the Eastern region and represents the needs of our specialist local food and drink producer-members. Tastes of Anglia have co-ordinated the festival making use of their in-depth industry knowledge for the last fifteen years.
Spread over three days, Feast East is unique in having different opening days for both the general public (Friday and Saturday) and trade buyers from the retail sector (Thursday afternoon).
Main attractions will be;
• the main retail section with the region’s best producers – last year we had over 80 exhibiting and we expect to have even more for 2010
• the Festival cookery theatre with many of the regional culinary superstars and other guest chefs
• a Foodie Skills Area offering masterclasses, tastings and producer tutorials
